Drawing Maps and Stealing Poetry
Yesterday I held my first ever Zoom Without a Net Workshop. We had a lovely group of open and honest women from places around the United States. We used the Without a Net Card Deck as prompts for reading our inner states, drew maps of all sorts of territories, and wrote poetry by stealing from the greatest poets of all time.
I was stuck, as i always am in these powerful group journeys, at the infinite variety of expressions that emerge. No two interpretations of the projects were remotely alike, reminding us of how different others’ perspectives can be, and how grand and vast creativity is.
I am grateful to have met and shared with so many brilliant people.
I will be scheduling another workshop soon. Stay on the lookout for announcements and scheduling. For now Zoom will be our home, and it’s proven to be a decent substitute for our explorations.
